For a really interesting trip, follow these instructions:
Go to www.google.com
Click on "maps"
Click on "get directions"
At the top of the page, Type " New York " in the first box (the "from" box)
Type " London " in the second box (the "to" box)
Click on Get Directions
When directions appear, Scroll down to step #21 (may not be this exact number in your search).

No go to Tokyo -- I tried it. You can get to London from Los Angeles in less than 32 days!
